Moving Forward

Our church congregation took a major step toward its mission of “Extending Hope in Jesus” through the decision to call a new LEAD PASTOR, who will (upon accepting the Call) come to provide our congregation with leadership and vision for the months and years ahead.  It was an exciting night full of energy and apprehension (normal companions of significant change).

Tonight all the youth in attendance had the opportunity to hear from our Synod’s Bishop Mark Holmerud.  Bp. Mark spoke in a relaxed manner, sharing with us the job he has been called to, some of his likes and dislikes as well as his passion for mission and ministry.  At the end of his message Bp. Mark requested that we take a look at some of the links on his own staff page from the Synod’s website to learn about his time in Rwanda and the minstry.  Please check them out.  What did you think about the evening and the Bishop’s comments?  Have you ever wondered if God was calling you into ministry?  What do you think that would feel like?
