A Summer Update

OK, so I’m back from vacation and I think I feel rested. Once I clear my desk and find all the things still to do, I’ll know for sure. Thanks to Arty and Alison who filled in last week, I know that everything went along great without missing a beat.

Thanks to all of you who called or texted to wish me a Happy Birthday today, it was nice to hear from so many of you. Other than simply updating our blog so you have something new to see on here, I wanted to say two things.

1.) As of now, all schools are out for the summer and all children and youth (for the purpose of church activities) should consider themselves as being part of the group for whatever grade they will be in next fall. If you just finished 3rd grade, you’re now part of “the way.” If you just finished 8th grade, you’re now part of “the life” (our high school group). If you just finished 6th grade, you’re now part of “the Truth” so get ready for confirmation. All incoming Freshmen are welcome to join “the Life” any Sunday that we meet, so check the calendar.

2.) Alison thought that we should have a new and hip T-shirt to let people know about our youth ministry here at Hope, so we will. They will be ready next week and available for $10. We will have sizes from Youth xSmall - Adult xxLarge while supplies last. These shirts aren’t just for kids/youth, they’re for anyone who knows and appreciates our youth ministry, so pick one up and let your friends know that we have something cool going on here.
