Travel Log - New Orleans ‘09 (b)

Date July 21, 2009

Wednesday, July 22 - 1 am

Fear not, though I may be blogging at this hour, our youth are all tucked snugly in their beds.  Today was a tremendous gift.  Our group was able to take in sights, sounds, smells, history, culture and much more.  Not only did we experience it all, but the group was able to follow what was going on, pay attention and process the information and experience in very mature and Christ-centered ways.  I’m totally impressed!

Our dinner experience was very enjoyable.  We had the New Orleans School of Cooking and one of their chefs all to ourselves for a very entertaining and satisfying evening of Andouille Sausage and Chicken Gumbo, followed by Smoked Sausage and Chicken Jambalaya as well as Banana’s Foster and Pralines.  I’ll let the photos speak for themselves and you can check out our own guest chef Hans.
