Jr.High @ Mt.Cross - The Game of Life!

Wow, what an incredible day.  Our Jr.High youth, along with their chaperones have joined together with about 100 other youth and adults from all over our synod for an amazing weekend.  Today was great fun with a morning “life-sized” board game experience which led our kids on a series of interactive team-building experiences.  There were plenty of smiles and happy faces.

Our youth have also been engaged by our weekend speaker Vance Blackfox, a member of the Cherokee Nation (click here for an article about our speaker and his background).  He has spoken to us about our lives of faith, specifically utlizing the text of Matthew 6:31-34.

Our afternoon was spent at the Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk.  We enjoyed a “life-sized” and fully interactive version of the board game Clue.  This was followed with some great sessions of laser-tag, video games and an evening including a pizza dinner on the beach.  Our kids are pretty tired, but their smiles continue to shine through.  It’s been a great weekend and I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
