United Fresno

Date January 10, 2010

According to the Mirriam-Webster Dicitonary united means “made one; relating to or produced by joint action; being in agreement.”

United Fresno is a movement that has brought together many churches, church leaders and young people in the Fresno, Clovis and surrounding area.  The purpose of this is to unite Christians from across denominational lines in order to seek God’s will for our lives and for our city.

Our youth group is excited to be a part of what God is doing in our city and looks forward to connecting the members of our church together with other Christians on high school campuses.  A big event coming up later this month is United Winter Camp.  The camp will be held on January 22-24 at Old Oak Ranch Camp is Sonora, Ca.  It is still possible to register.  Download both forms here.

I have to say that I am super excited for United Winter Camp! I am looking forward to a great weekend with my friends away from all the stresses provided from school, home, band/percussion practice, golf practice and little siblings. I am ready to get to know everyone better! but most of all I am ready to get to know Christ better. :) I am looking forward to seeing other Christians from my campus so I will know that I am united with other kids on my school campus outside of the kids from Hope.

I’m really excited, because I’m going with my church plus tons of kids from my school. It will most definitely be an amazing experience.

Okay so really….that was a craZy trip! Only fifteen minutes left guys. Help is on it’s way! I had a great time spending every second of my weekend with you all…and literally every second. That first bus ride was ridiculous! I never thought anything like that would happen to me let alone a group of 400+. The little time we spent at camp was amazing and all the food was great! Tubing was so much fun, minus all the injuries. Worship was really cool even if we were all so tired. I had a great time with everyone who went, including all our new friends at Flip Side and all over Fresno. I missed each and every friend who wasn’t able to go with us, but I’m sure you enjoyed sleeping in your bed. I love you all!

I agree with Sara, tubing was awesome and the entire weekend was awesome. I can’t think of another way to unite 400+ kids. Although I broke my nose, that is truely the highlight of my weekend, other than finally arriving at camp. I will be going to the snow day, I don’t care if I already broke my nose, tubing is fun. I can’t wait to have another great experience like this with everyone again, this youth group is amazing! It’s my second home!!!!
