Pool Parties - Other than heading to the coast for a week at Mt. Cross, the best way to beat the summer heat is with a good ol’ pool party. We’ve been partying of late with some wacky fun, some good food, awesome times of worship and more. Check out the photo pages to catch up on the memories and to see how crazy we can be.
the Truth - We had an awesome week at Shalom Camp at Mt. Cross. Just ask any of the 10 youth who went and they will tell you that it was one of the best experiences of their life. We learned about God’s plan for SHALOM and what that has to do with being a Christian. We learned about Sharing, Healing, Affirmation, Loven, Oneness and Mission as being essential components of the Christian life. We enjoyed worship, lessons, crafts, creek soccer, the ropes course and much more. Our youth director Adam Knudson was even the Pastor who delivered the sermon message during the final worship service.

the Truth and the Life- Summer Kick off Lock-In @ Hope Lutheran Church. We had an amazing night with 23 youth from both groups, playing sardines, capture the flag in the dark, donut on a string contest, marshmallow spitting relay, the Wii, and making new friends! Our youth in the Jr. High and High School groups also experienced a chance to dig deeper into their faith at a midnight campfire worship service. Emotions were shared there and a conection with Jesus “the Beautiful one” was made. Singing together, playing games together, and worshiping together made this night one that will not soon be forgotten!
the Way, the Truth, and the Life- Wild Water Adventures Clovis, CA. This was a day of fun in the sun for all ages, riding the blue wave, shooting down the super fast yellow water slide, and playing several games of Big Booty (a new group favorite)! The 20 of us who attended got to know each other in deeper and more personal ways and we made new friends, it was just a relaxing, fun, and chilling day to beat the heat!

The Truth/Life - Spring Celebration at Great America in Santa Clara. We had a great day riding some of the awesome Roller Coasters and other rides at the park. We may have had to wait an inordinate ammount of time in line to buy lunch, but we survived. Then we enjoyed concerts by Family Force 5, Hawke Nelson, Barlow Girl, Kutless and Switchfoot. It was an awesome day for the 25 of us who went and it’s an event we’ll definitely look forward to next year as well. The Way - Our weekend retreat at Mt. Cross in the Santa Cruz mountains was amazing. We played games, sang songs, heard stories about God’s love for us, played starring roles in an all-camp movie video and even competed in a dance competition.

The Life - Our week long trip to Mexico was amazing, you can see pictures on “the Life” page, you can read statements and testimonies that were shared during our report service - here. It was an awesome week, just ask somebody who went. Thank you Easton Pres. for inviting us along.
